1960s 18K Gold Cocktail Ring with Diamonds

This cocktail ring is handmade by a goldsmith in Florence, Italy in the 1960s. It is made of 18k gold inlaid with diamonds. The biggest surprise of this piece is the iconic "Bulino" craft in Florence, Italy. This craft originated in the Renaissance in the 15th century. Craftsmen used extremely fine carving knives to hand-carve on the surface of gold to create a delicate and smooth texture, showing a silky luster. Modern people call it the "velvet brushed" craft. This exquisite craft was once almost lost. At the turn of the century in the 1900s, the goldsmiths in Florence restored this craft through unremitting efforts and it has been passed down to this day. A jewellery craft with a history of 600 years is not an exaggeration to call it a work of art!
